OG Kush, which was initially grown in Florida about 30 years ago, is also occasionally referred to as "Premium OG Kush" or just "Kush." The term "OG," which has been used to describe other cannabis strains over the years, originated with this variety. While some claim otherwise, some people think that "OG" pays homage to an even older strain called "Original Gangster." Although the exact genetic ancestry of OG Kush is unknown, experts think it was created by crossing Chemdawg, Hindu Kush, and Lemon Thai with an unidentified Northern Californian strain. The secrecy is likely a result of the strain's enormous reputation; OG Kush is the most well-known and frequently utilized strain of cannabis. It's little wonder the strain is loved worldwide with its virtually balanced makeup (55% Sativa, 45% Indica) and mid-high THC levels.
