Durban Poison

Purely a South African landrace sativa strain, Durban Poison. It is a strong and sticky type that does well in a range of growing environments. THC levels in Durban Poison range from 15% to 25%. Since at least the 14th century, cannabis has been grown on the African continent; by the time of Dutch colonization, it had spread south, and the Khoikhoi, San, and Bantu tribes, who are native to South Africa, had developed a culture of cannabis cultivation and acceptance. These tribes called the drug dagga. Durban Poison is a fantastic plant for beginners to cultivation because of its tough and tried-and-true genetics. Given that it can grow to a height of 12 feet, it can be grown effectively outside in warm, semi-humid areas with regular daily temperatures between 72 and 80°F. Indoor growers should bend and prune the spindly branches early in the vegetative stage to control the height of Durban Poison. This variety flowers unusually quickly for a sativa thanks to its time-tested cultivation and internationally developed genetics, reaching maturity in 8 to 9 weeks when grown indoors and by late September when grown outdoors. Plants also provide growers with a yield that is above normal.
