Big Bud

Big Bud, an indica-dominant hybrid with enormous, sticky blooms and a potent body high, lives up to its name. Big Bud is thought to have started as a probable cross between the early staple strains Afghani, Haze, and Northern Lights in the United States in the 1980s. It soon gained popularity in the then-dark market. Big Bud was sent to the Netherlands, a cannabis-friendly country, by intrepid aficionados during the Nixon and Reagan administrations' War on Drugs, where it was fostered and genetically stabilized. Thankfully, Big Bud has endured and has regained appeal in the United States. In 1989, the strain took home the top honors in the "Mostly Indica" category of the second High Times Cannabis Cup. Big Bud has a THC content that ranges from 15% to 20%. Big Bud plants can reach heights of up to 7 feet, matching the grandeur of its enormous blossoms. As a result, it can be cultivated outside, but only in regions with variable temperatures and steady sunlight. Big Bud may also be cultivated indoors, but due to its height, it needs to be topped and bent early in the vegetative stage to promote more horizontal than vertical development. The sturdy central stalks of the plant, which can expand to about 2 or 3 inches in diameter, enable the lateral branches to sustain the plant's weighty blossoms, frequently without the need for stakes. Big Bud has a medium-high yield and matures relatively quickly for an indica, approximately 7 to 8 weeks. Up to 46 grams, or 1.5 ounces, can be provided by plants per square foot. The curing procedure, which normally takes a week in temperature- and humidity-controlled conditions, takes 10 days or longer due to the size of Big Bud's blossoms. Buds are considered to be cured when they are dry to the touch but not brittle. Big Bud is a testament to the value of competent horticulture since it might have lost its potency or been diluted without the care and attention of master cannabis farmers. Fortunately, Dutch cannabis fans stabilized the strain, guaranteeing its potency and sustaining its appeal. A true knockout strain, dose should be adjusted for persons with poor tolerances because a little goes a long way with it. Big Bud is excellent for physically numbing and emotionally calming yourself in calm, comfortable settings, but it's not the ideal choice before going out and hitting the town.
